Childhood Cancer Awareness

Guess what?
This is a very important month.
September. This is the month to really be aware.
Of the horrible monster that changes the lives of millions in our world today.
Cancer.
No one really knows what cancer is like...unless it's been a part of their lives.
So this post is about standing up to cancer. And this is one of the perfect months to do so. September is the month specifically for childhood cancer. A terrible kind.

It's been a part of my life for the past three years. Nathanael, my little brother, was able to healthily finish his treatment in May of this year.
It was such a blessing for our family.
But it's hard. We didn't suffer nearly as much as many other people have suffered or are suffering.

This song is by Taylor Swift about a little boy who lost his battle with cancer. Taylor gives the boy's mother credit for co-writing the song with her. Of course, the mother was the best one to tell of her own experiences.

My dear brother had pictures taken of him for a special fall charity event. I am so grateful for that.
